Obama Holocaust Denial in Buchenwald & Cairo Speeches

advertisement

Obama's speech at Buchenwald ignored non-Jewish victims. The "annual death rate" of US-occupied Afghan infants (7.0%) is between that of Buchenwald inmates (2.9%) and WW2 Australian POWs of the Japanese (10.1%).

In his 4 June 2009 Cairo Speech to the Muslim World, President Obama repeatedly referred to the equality of man (see transcript of Obama's Cairo Speech, New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/04/us/politics/04obama.text.html?_r=2&pagewanted=1 ): "And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality … We [Americans] were born out of revolution against an empire. We were founded upon the ideal that all are created equal."

Noble thoughts indeed but Obama's rhetoric does not match his actions when we compare "annual death rates" of the following groups of people, specifically (1) under-5 year old infants in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan, (2) WW2 Buchenwald Concentration Camp inmates and (3) Australian prisoners of war (POWs) of the Japanese in World War 2 (WW2).

1. Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories (2007).

According to UNICEF (2007 data; see: http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/index.html ) 338,000 under-5 year old Afghan infants die each year out of a population of 4.860 million under-5 year olds (UN Population Division data: http://esa.un.org/unpp/ ). The "annual death rate" of Occupied Afghanistan under-5 year old infants expressed as an annual percentage (%) is accordingly 338,000 x 100/4,860,000 infants = 7.0%.

By way of comparison, the "annual death rate" (2007 data) for under-5 year old infants is 0.6% (Occupied Palestinian Territory) and 0.9% (Occupied Iraq) as compared to about 0.1% for Occupier Countries Israel and Australia.

As of April 2009, in the Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories:
1. post-invasion non-violent excess deaths total 0.3 million, 1.0 million and 3.2 million, respectively; 2. post-invasion violent deaths total about 10,000, 1.3 million and 2-4 million, respectively; 3. total post-invasion violent and non-violent excess deaths total 0.3 million, 2.3 million and 3-7 million, respectively; 4. post-invasion under-5 infant deaths total 0.2 million, 0.6 million and 2.3 million, respectively; and 5. refugees total 7 million, 5-6 million and 3-4 million, respectively.

This constitutes a Palestinian Holocaust, an Iraqi Holocaust and an Afghan Holocaust; a Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention; and egregious war crimes due in part to Occupier war criminal non-supply of life-sustaining food and medical requisites demanded unequivocally by Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. Thus the Gaza Concentration Camp has been under US-backed Israeli blockade for 2 years and according to WHO the "total annual per capita medical expenditure" permitted by the Occupiers in Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan is US$124 and US$29, respectively, as compared to US$6,714 for the US (see "Pro-Zionist Western holocaust denial": http://mwcnews.net/content/view/29844/26/ ).

2. Buchenwald Concentration Camp (1937-1945).

The Buchenwald Concentration Camp located in Thuringia, Eastern Germany operated from mid-1937 to mid-1945. Male and female camp prisoners worked primarily as forced labor in local armament factories. Inmates included Poles, prisoners of war, Jews, Roma and Sinti Gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses, other religious prisoners, homosexuals, criminals, communists, anarchists and other political prisoners (notably resistance members from Nazi-occupied countries including Austria, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russia and Spain) (see "Buchenwald Concentration Camp": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buchenwald ).

From Nazi German SS records it is estimated that a total of 238,380 people were incarcerated in Buchenwald over 8 years and of these 56,045 are estimated to have died, the breakdown being deaths according to material left behind by SS (33,462), executions of Soviet POWs by shooting on arrival and not entered into the SS camp register (8,483), executions by hanging (1,100) and deaths during evacuation transports (13,500) (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buchenwald ).

The "annual death rate" at Buchenwald Concentration Camp as an annual percentage (%) was accordingly 56,045 deaths x 100/ (238,380 inmates x 8 years) = 2.9%.

3. Australian POWs of the Japanese in WW2.

We can estimate the "annual death rate" with that of Australian POWs of the Japanese in WW2 which involved 8,000 deaths out of 22,000 prisoners over a period from about January 1942 to August 1945 (3.6 years) (for details see Tim Bowden, "Prisoners of War: Australians under Nippon", ABC Radio National: http://www.abc.net.au/rn/summer/summer2002/pow.htm ).

The "annual death rate" of Australian POWs of the Japanese in WW2 was 8,000 deaths x 100/(22,000 inmates x 3.6 years) = 10.1%.

Conclusions.

These appalling statistics show that the "under-5 year old infant" part of the Bush (now Obama) Afghan Holocaust is characterized by an "annual death rate" over twice that for Buchenwald inmates.

In their 5 June 2009 addresses at the Nazi Buchenwald Concentration Camp site both President Barack Obama and Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel ignored non-Jewish victims of the Nazi atrocity (for transcript see "Obama, Merkel & Wiesel at Buchenwald": http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/06/05/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5066311.shtml ) as did Obama in his 4 June 2005 Cairo Speech to World Muslims that falsely defamed unspecified Muslims as anti-Semitic holocaust deniers who are blocking peace in the Middle East: "Around the world, the Jewish people were persecuted for centuries, and anti-Semitism in Europe culminated in an unprecedented Holocaust. Tomorrow, I will visit Buchenwald, which was part of a network of camps where Jews were enslaved, tortured, shot and gassed to death by the Third Reich. Six million Jews were killed – more than the entire Jewish population of Israel today. Denying that fact is baseless, ignorant, and hateful. Threatening Israel with destruction – or repeating vile stereotypes about Jews – is deeply wrong, and only serves to evoke in the minds of Israelis this most painful of memories while preventing the peace that the people of this region deserve" ( see: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/04/us/politics/04obama.text.html?pagewanted=4&_r=2 ).

Obama's false and defamatory remarks were clearly aimed at Iran's President Ahmadinejad who has clearly acknowledged (albeit less than fullsomely) the WW2 Jewish Holocaust as an atrocity but argues that (1) the killing of 10 ten times more non-Jews than Jews by the Nazis should also be acknowledged (true) ; (2) more research is needed (true); (3) conquered, dispossessed, exiled, imprisoned, abused and traumatized Palestinians should not have to suffer for the crimes of the Nazis (true); and (4) there should be an end to the present Nazi-style, Apartheid-style, race-based regime that is currently abusively ruling all of the Holy Land and adjoining territories (true) (for what Ahmadinejad actually says – as opposed to defamatory racist Zionist assertions of what he says – see "Ahmadinejad on Holocaust": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykd-syzZ4ZY ).

Interestingly, Obama makes an admission in his Cairo Speech that should prove to be important quantitative evidence when he is finally arraigned as a war criminal before the International Criminal Court for complicity in the ongoing Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide.

Thus Obama stated in his Cairo Speech: "We also know that military power alone is not going to solve the problems in Afghanistan and Pakistan. That is why we plan to invest $1.5 billion each year over the next five years to partner with Pakistanis to build schools and hospitals, roads and businesses, and hundreds of millions to help those who have been displaced. And that is why we are providing more than $2.8 billion to help Afghans develop their economy and deliver services that people depend upon."

Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War demand that the Occupier must provide life-sustaining food and medical services "to the fullest extent of the means available to it" (see: http://www.unhchr.ch/html/menu3/b/92.htm ) . Thus the Gaza Concentration Camp has been under US-backed Israeli blockade for 2 years and according to WHO (see: ) the "total annual per capita medical expenditure" permitted by the Occupiers in Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan is US$124 and US$29, respectively, as compared to US$6,714 for the US.

The consequent appalling Indigenous infant mortality statistics are evidence of egregious, racist war crimes by the US and by US-backed Israel..

Accordingly, "to the fullest extent of the means available to it" would mean Obama providing $6,714 per person x 27 million Occupied Afghans = $180 billion in food and medical services each year rather than the paltry $2.8 billion (over what period?) he boasts about in his Cairo Speech.

Obama's Buchenwald and Cairo speeches are an insult to decent humanity and involve lies, spin and race-specific holocaust denial (for a detailed analysis see "Obama's Speech to Muslim World. Zionist spin and Orwellian holocaust denial": http://mwcnews.net/content/view/31091/42/ ).

Obama evidently believes that "yes we can" means that he will get away with lies, slies (spin-based untruths) and race-based holocaust denial. It is up to decent anti-racist humanitarians to ensure that "no he won't".
